Take the easy drive up the mountain to the level parking area and enter in to the vacation home of your dreams. Only moments from the heart of Ruidoso, New Mexico this beautiful and modern home is the perfect getaway for your family. Two spacious bedrooms with king beds as well as a queen size sofa sleeper, bunk beds and a sleeper futon allow for all gets to get that good nights rest while enjoying the fresh mountain local. Pamper yourself in the jetted tub or huge Italian tiled shower off the master bedroom.

This home has all the amenities necessary such as WiFi, cable, central AC and a wet bar with mini fridges. The large kitchen is fully stocked with all appliances needed for those wonderful family meals. If outdoor cooking is more your style take advantage of the giant outdoor propane grill. When its time for fun travel downstairs to the game room with bumper pool table, flat screen TV and outdoor deck access as well. This level has another large bedroom with king bed and bath as well as the laundry area.

Healing Touch is just what the Doctor ordered for those vacation memories that will last a lifetime.

Ruidoso is an alpine mountain community. Expect twisty roads with steep grades. The weather is unpredictable and changes quickly. Elevation can vary between 6000’ to almost 12,000’. Most homes are multi-level with stairs on inclined lots. Expect wildlife to hinder traffic flow. Do not be surprised if the power goes out or when you lose internet or cell phone connection. This is the mountains, and it happens. We encourage guests be prepared with access to chains or 4-wheel drive in winter months for all our properties. This is not the big city. Life is easier and slower paced and more wonderful. This is why we come and why we stay. Relax and enjoy your time in paradise.

  The home itself is beautiful but when we arrived I noticed the place was not clean. The dishwasher was full of dishes that had been sitting for who knows how long. The smell was horrible. The rest of the dishes and bbq grill were not very clean either. There was no cable like it was listed to have. The master shower had a horrible smell in the drain. It smelled of sewer. The tub in the master also was not clean very welll as there was hair or something else coming out of the jets.
  Overall the location and home itself was beautiful but the cleanliness of the home definitely needs to be better considering the amount we pay for this home.

  The property is wonderful. It is a perfect location with plenty of parking. The inside was clean and comfortable. Even though we couldn't get the tv in the main living room working, there was a tv downstairs. However, it was frustrating to have to go downstairs to watch tv.The surroundings outside needed to be cleaned up a little, but it did not take away from the view from the balcony. It was quiet and the trees kept you from seeing the neighbors. We We enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying there again.

  Location was the best thing about this property. It was close to downtown including the shops, restaurants and Ruidoso winter park. It was a 30 minute drive to Ski Apache. It was also extremely quiet and private. If you are looking for an updated property this is not it. Lots of things were broken (decking, shed doors, and window treatments). Carpet was old and dirty and there were lots of bugs. I came home with some bug bites as did my friend’s daughter. Kitchen has limited supplies and there are no extra essentials (paper towels, dish and laundry detergent, no dish brush, no hair dryer). The grill ran out of propane the first night, however the property manager did offer to refund me for a new one. The WiFi is basically non existent. Do not count on working from that location or streaming tv. Bring your own hotspot. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but this property definitely needs improvements.

  This is an awesome place. The house and hot tub were top notch. This was our second time here, and we had minor issues but I think they are just due to location. these were issues on the first stay also three years ago. There is no tv. Everything is internet based, and the connection is spotty at best. I'm guessing the satellite gets out of alignment because of winds. Bring a game console and dvds if you want to watch anything. There weren't board games or cards or anything to do during down time. The sewage also smells pretty bad in the main bathroom. Had a pretty bad methane smelling shower one day. I think that is just because of the plumbing and location on a hill. Other than that, this cabin is high quality.

  Cabin is a disaster. Lamp had broken on/off switch. Fireplace was not functioning for at least seven months, with a sign sayin “thanks for your understanding”. Balcony was not usable for three days of seven day stay, repaired fourth day. Front door was swelled shut from moisture. Towels left in dryer. Towels left in washer. Landscaping was overgrown and weeds 2 1/2 feet tall. Exposed and ungrounded electrical cords indoors and outdoors - definite hazards. Hand railing to downstairs was loose half way down, but repaired the other half - dangerous! Called property management, that sent out a representative to open front door and explained issues and said someone would look into them. No one came by!

  Great location with nice view. Enjoyed seeing wildlife in the yard from the upper porch. Hot tub was clean and working properly. Did not use A/C because it was cool enough with windows open. We had no problems with the TV. Interior of house was as pictured however the carpet is very stained and dirty. The upstairs bathroom had a sewer odor coming from the shower and the back porch needs some repair work. There is a sign on the fireplace indicating it is not to be used. Overall, we loved our stay in Ruidoso. The cool weather was a much-needed relief. The house was somewhat disappointing considering the price, but we made do and had a wonderful time.

  The house was located in a beautiful location. There was a couple of complaints I do have the pots and pans could use some new ones. There was only one good pan. The carper has got to go, when standing in front of the stairs you get a smell of urine. The carpet was dirty and smelled horrible, we did get grossed out good thing we didn’t spend much time in doors. The house would be perfect if the carpet was removed.

  We enjoyed our stay at this rental. All in all it had everything we needed for our stay. The property was in a good location and clean. As has been previously mentioned in other reviews, we had to make a store run for things like hand soap and tissue. We could have used better instructions on using the fireplace and TV. There are some minor fixes which we reported to the rental manager.

  Pretty location. Some downfalls was that we had issues with the fireplace and we called for help and they said to check out a YouTube video. We eventually figured it out. We never got a confirmation on how to get there or instructions on what to do. We were traveling 9 hour trip trying to contact company and eventually they got back with us on where to check in. The propane was out so we had to buy more propane, (they will reimburse you), there were no washcloths, so we had to buy our own along with more hand soap and dish soap toilet paper and paper towels. Dollar store close by!! the grill didn’t work very well, some hand towel holders kept falling off the wall. Pluses...if u have pets the upper deck is enclosed so they can run around freely. The hot tub was nice and clean. Tons of deer and elk all around. Washer dryer which is great to have. The downstairs area was perfect for our teens with bedroom and bunks so they could have their own space. There was no toaster. The bed upstairs watch your shins because bed rails stick out. Overall had a fun time and close to good restaurants and shops, but outside eating was only thing available and mask are required in public wherever you go.

  I always hesitate committing to a vacation location as we have had several experiences where the place wasn’t what it was advertised to me. Not Healing Touch- it was better than we expected- so much that we have already booked again! So many mountain cabins are so busy and full of the owners things that it isn’t enjoyable. The clean, serene (but well equipped!) cabin was perfect. Comfy beds, great kitchen and kitchen gear, and hot tub were our favorite things and the seperate living rooms, wet bar and great back porch were just amazing bonuses. This is definitly going to be “our place” to escape to the mountains every month or so.

  This was the first time we had been to Ruidoso. Overall we had a great trip. The location was great. However, we had a few hiccups while there. We arrived and were ready to check in at 4:00 as planned. We arrived at the address and the cleaning company was still there! We had to drive around and come back - no big deal. We came back around at 4:45 and they were still there. So to say the least we had a delayed check in. After driving all day we were tired and just wanted to get settled. The first day we were in the home we didn’t notice a smell at all. After using the bathrooms and shower, the smell increased each day. It was a mildew/sewer type smell that I really can’t explain. It made our stomachs sick and if we were in a hotel, we would have requested a new room. We did have another issue with ants. There were ants in the bathroom, kitchen and living areas. They got into the food we had purchased and onto our clothing. We couldn’t figure out how to get the TVs to work. We got them turned on but then the remotes would not work. We didn’t want to go to the store just for batteries so we just didn’t watch TV. In the future, I probably wouldn’t stay at this location again.

  I contacted the property management company the week before our stay because I was concerned about the previous review. I was assured that the septic smell had been addressed and completely resolved. This was not true. The house smelled like septic immediately upon walking in the front door, and there were airfresheners plugged in everywhere, which made it smell like airfreshener and septic. We left the bathroom fans on venting and the doors open during the day when possible. The smell got progressively worse throughout the weekend. I notified the rental company upon checking in, and they said that the owner had told them it was fixed. I also had called to verify that there was in fact cable, and was told that there was. There is no cable or satellite, only a roku. There were other problems, such as the grill being filthy and the extra blankets downstairs smelling strongly of BO. The blankets on the beds are very thin. The Livingroom rug has no anti-skid pad and slides on the wood floor. Half the lights downstairs were burnt out. We had to go buy our own trash bags, as only 1 extra is provided. The hot tub is not locked, and 3 of the 4 buckles are broken on the lid. The coffee table is wobbly, and there are spots on the walls where pictures probably were before but have all been taken down. Overall this rental looks like it has been set up quickly to rent for profit but not well maintained.

  I want to start off by saying that I have a rental home in Texas, so I really do know how much work and love goes into these homes. However, the septic smell in this house is a problem that needs to be addressed. I saw a few reviews about it before we stayed and figured either the others were being dramatic or the owner would have it fixed right away. I was wrong on both accounts. The smell is NASTY! Its definitely that of rotting sewage. We thought maybe a rat or squirrel had died so we tried to find the source to no avail. We stayed nearly a month ago and the smell is still burned in my memory.
  
  Now, the rest of the home is very nice! It's also impeccably clean. The hot tub was lovely. We even saw elk in the driveway! Sadly, what we will remember most about this trip in 10 years will probably be the "Stanky Cabin" as we dubbed it trying to make the situation humorous at least.
